After leaked in hands-on video and in official video teasers, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S has been officially launched in Shanghai, China. It is high-end flagship smartphone from the company which comes with a 5.99-inch 18:9 display, 8GB RAM, Snapdragon 845, Dual Rear Cameras with AI portraits and AI scene recognition.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S Price and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S price in China starts from CNY 3,299 – approximately $527 for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version, the 128GB storage version costs CNY 3,599 – approximately $575 and CNY 3,999 – approximately $639 for 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model. It will be available for pre-order from today and goes on sale in China from April 3, 2018. The handset comes in Ceramic Black and Ceramic White color options.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S features a 5.99-inch FullView display with Full HD+ (2160 × 1080 pixels) resolution, and 18:9 aspect ratio. It has a ceramic body with an aluminium frame and it is powered by a 2.8 GHz octa-core processor which supported by Snapdragon 845 10nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 630 GPU and 6GB / 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It packs a 64GB / 128GB / 256GB of inbuilt storage.
On the camera front, the Mi MIX 2S flaunts a 12-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.6″ Sony IMX363 sensor, 1.4µm pixel size, OIS, Dual Pixel auto focus, 26mm wide-angle lens, f/1.8 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, 4-axis OIS, Optical zoom, 4K video recording, and a secondary 12-megapixel rear camera with 46mm telephoto lens, 1/3.4″ sensor size, f/2.4 aperture, 2X zoom as well as AI portraits and has AI scene recognition that can detect 25 categories and 206 kinds of scenes. For selfie, it has a 5-megapixel selfie shooter with real-time AI portrait selfies and the phone also has face unlock.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S has a fingerprint sensor on the back and support for Google ARCore and runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with support for AI voice assistant. The company said that it scored 101 in DxO Mark for photo and 88 for video and the overall DxO Mark score is 97. It packs a 3400mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging as well as wireless charging. It has support for 43 global bands and has network support in 226 regions.
The handset supports dual SIM slot with dual standby, For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5, NFC, and USB C. The device supports 7.5W Qi wireless charging.
