Xiaomi Mi Max with MIUI 8 and 6.44-inch Display Launched in China

After so many rumors and leaks, finally the Xiaomi Mi Max has been officially launched in China, along with latest MIUI 8 based on Android OS. So the Mi Max will be one of the first Xiaomi smartphone runs latest MIUI 8 with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box. Xiaomi Mi Max Launch

The Xiaomi Mi Max is available in three different options, including Snapdragon 650 with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage priced at 1499 Yuan – approximately $229 USD/Rs. 15,000; 1699 Yuan – approximately $260 USD/Rs. 17,000 for Snapdragon 652 with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage; and the final variant for 1999 Yuan – approximately $306 USD/Rs. 20,500 comes with Snapdragon 652 with 4GB RAM and 128GB of native storage. The Xiaomi Mi Max is available in Dark Grey, Gold, and Silver color variants and it will go on sale 17th May.

The Xiaomi Mi Max features a 6.44-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display. As mentioned above, It comes in two different chipsets powered by hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 and Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor. It has 3GB/4GB of RAM and comes with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card.Xiaomi Mi Max

The Mi Max flaunts a 16-megapixel rear primary camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and LED flash. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 85 degree wide angle lens for selfies and video calling. It has hybrid Dual SIM support, measures 173.1 x 88.3 x 7.5mm and weighs around 203 grams. It has a full metal uni-body and also feature a fingerprint sensor at the back for enhanced security.

The Xiaomi Mi Max will run on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box. New MIUI OS comes with all new features such as user can now edit pictures and video right from MIUI, ‘long screenshot’ mode, which allows user to capture whole web-page screenshots at time, redesigned stock apps, Multi-window support for few apps and much more.MIUI 8

The Mi Max comes with 4G LTE/VoLTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 as connectivity options. The handset packs in a 4850mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 24 hour juice on a single charge which is 76 percent higher that iPhone 6s Plus, claimed by Xiaomi.
