Sharp Aquos S3 With 6.0-inch FHD+ Notch Display, Dual Rear Camera Announced

After presenting the Aquos S3 Mini in China, the company has officially announced the Sharp Aquos S3 in Taiwan. It is mid-range smartphone comes with a 6.0-inch Notch Display with 18:9 aspect ratio, 4GB RAM, Dual rear Camera and rear fingerprint sensor.

Sharp Aquos S3 Price and Availability

The Sharp Aquos S3 price in Taiwan has been set at NT 11,990 – approximately $412 and it will be available to buy from April 1st in Taiwan. The handset comes in Black color only.

Sharp Aquos S3 Specifications

The Sharp Aquos S3 features a 6.0-inch IPS LCD display with Notch design, Full HD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) resolution with 500 nits brightness, 18:9 aspect ratio, 91% screen-to-body ratio and 1500:1 contrast ratio. The device is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor backed by Snapdragon 630 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB.

On the camera front, the Aquos S3 bears a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and LED Flash. It has a dual rear camera: 12MP + 13MP camera sensors with 1.4um pixel, f/1.75 aperture, dual tone LED flash and AI portrait selfies and has face unlock that can unlock the phone in 0.1 second by scanning 1024 facial points. It also has a rear fingerprint sensor for more security.

The handset runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with Smile UX and packs a 3200mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support. It supports dual SIM slot with dual standby. For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 5, and USB C, 3.5mm jack. The device measures 148.2 x 74.2 x 7.98mm and weighs 165.4 grams.
