Sennheiser brought its latest Bluetooth headphones model named IE80S BT at Hong Kong AVShow 2019. As its name suggests, the Sennheiser wireless headphones, which is a version of the famous IE80S headset was the first time Sennheiser stepped into the high-end in-ear headset audiophile market. The Sennheiser IE80S BT price is up to $500, $150 higher compared to the IE80S wired version.
Sennheiser equipped IE80S BT with a premium Bluetooth neckband module and advanced Bluetooth codecs like LHDC and aptX HD, AAC. Also, this product will support aptX Low Latency to ensure watching movies or playing games without having to worry about being late.
Inside using a high-end AKM DAC chip, the sound quality is not inferior to the plug, along with a neodymium magnet system on the back of the housing to increase driver flux and improve sound quality. The top of the earpiece faceplate still has the characteristic bass control knob for IE80S.
Sennheiser Smart Control App software can also adjust the 5 band Equalizer, allowing users to adjust the sound quality to their liking. Users can use voice control via Siri and Google Assistant by using the three-button control on the wire.
Sennheiser also pays special attention to the microphone quality on the IE80S BT headset model with advanced noise reduction technology, to ensure the best call quality with accurate voice control. The Bluetooth neckband module can be disassembled so listeners can use the traditional 3.5mm wired connection, but users must purchase a separate 3.5mm cord for $50.
Included accessories are 3 different sizes of ear adapter sets, silicone, lamellar, and comply memory foam with carrying case. IE80S BT’s battery life is about 6 hours with a full charging time of about 1.5 hours.
