Nik Collection: Photo Editing App by Google now Free for Everyone

As we all know, Google has officially decided to make its expensive photo editing tools named Nik Collection absolutely free, anyone can download and use. It first available in late 2012, priced at $150. And Google also will refund the purchased amount of the tool if you bought the Nik Collection in 2016, published on official Nik Collection Google + page.

After this announcement, Nik Collection became the very hot subject on every photography forum today. It’s included various plugins such as Analog Efex Pro, Color Efex Pro, Silver Efex Pro, Viveza, HDR Efex Pro, Sharpener Pro, and Dfine.

The plugins for Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Lightroom and Apple Aperture allows us to do such things as color correction, color filters, retouching and creative effects, image sharpening and more.

Photoshop or Lightroom can also do all such things, but with the help of Nik Photo Software, things will be done very fast and easily. Thus, to use Nik, we must have a PC or laptop with pre-installed Adobe Photoshop (CS4) or Ligtroom 3 and Apple Aperture 3.1 or later.

You can download Nik Collection for free from the google official page has support for both Mac and Windows, after downloading, we installed as installing a regular software.

As mentioned above, Nik software complete collection will be used in Photoshop or Lightroom. Usage is as follows:

With Photoshop: Go to Filter > Nik Collection > Color Efex Pro

With Lightroom: In Photo> Edit In> Color Efex Pro
