LG introduces 1mm ultra-thin OLED panels, sticks on the wall with magnets

LG Display has launched the prototype of ultra-thin OLED panels with a capability to mount on the wall with a magnetic mat piece.

This product uses the 55-inch panel, weight only 1,9kg and a thickness less than 1mm, so the LG Display Company compares it as a sheet of wallpaper. For ease of comparison, the LG 55-inch OLED TV units with a of thickness 4.3mm and weight of 18kg.

This is a future of the LG display, the company added that the future development strategy, they will focus on OLED technology, and believe that all electronic products of the future will move to OLEDs and completely replace the LCDs, from TV to mobile devices and wearable devices.

LG Display also shared that the company has achieved many significant achievements in the development of OLED panel production, large-size LG OLED also gained up to 80%. The LG expects to sell 600,000 LG OLED TV units this year and 1.5 million units next year.
