Huawei has started the rollout of a new software update for Huawei Mate 20 Pro in Asia, the current top flagship of the Chinese company was launched back in October last year in the UK.
Many innovations introduced by the Chinese company thanks to this new release not yet available in the UK and identifiable with the build number 9.0.0.183 (C636E10R3P2). The changelog refers to include the latest security patches of the Android operating system with the month of January 2019, Super Macro mode and improved gesture navigation and call experience.
The Super Macro feature, it should be specified, was already present on the Mate 20 Pro since launch. But it wasn’t accessible as an actual “mode.” You could activate it by tapping the zoom buttons to cycle through to the 0.6x wide-angle mode and get real close to the subject. This would automatically trigger the AI to launch Super Macro Mode. Now, with the EMUI 9.0.0.183 update, you can access the mode by tapping “More” in the camera app.
The new firmware is currently being distributed in Asia, weighs in at just 346MB and it is not clear when the same innovations will be implemented also in the UK and European variants.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro is available online from Amazon.co.uk at £849.00 with £50.99 Off for the Black color version. While the Twilight version cost £884.91 with £15.18 discount.
