HTC Desire 830, a new mid-range handset has been silently, yet officially launched in Taiwan today, as expected. This is a product which comes with a youthful design and quite appealing specifications. As for the price, Desire 830 will be sold in Taiwan for 9,999 TWD – approximately $310 USD or €270 and the handset will ship to users starting from June 2016, no further details on International availability and pricing. The HTC Desire 830 share similar design as its previous Desire series products, it is also true that compared to Desire 825, but its not exactly same, the Desire 830 design is quite fresh, different physical button placement with beveled lines, top and bottom speaker design is also completely different, looks more loaded with powers. Speaking of HTC Desire 830 specifications, it features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display. It is powered by 64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, paired with PowerVR G6200 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and comes with 32GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128GB with the help of microSD card.
The Desire 830 flaunts a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture with optical image stabilization. Rear camera is also capable of shooting FHD videos. On the front, it comes with Ultrapixel (4 megapixels) front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. The handset is also own two BoomSound front-facing speakers.
The HTC Desire 830 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow for smoother experience, more energy-efficient along with the latest HTC Sense UI on top of it. It has Dual SIM support and packs in a 2800mAh battery under the hood that can last for a day with moderate usage. It measures 157.5 x 78.9 x 7.79 mm and weighs 156 grams. On connectivity front, the handset includes 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack options.
