Honor 9 with 20MP + 12MP dual Camera and 6GB RAM Announced

Honor 9 has been officially launched at the event in Shanghai International Conference Center in China. Honor 9 is the successor of the Honor 8 smartphone with dual camera system was launched last year. It also comes with dual rear camera sensors, 3D metal and glass body and Kirin 960 SoC. The handset is available in Blue, Amber Gold, Gray and Black color variants.

Honor 9 Specifications

The Huawei Honor 9 features a 5.15-inch 2.5D curved glass display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. The device has a 3D metal and glass body that changes color when a light is reflected on it. It is powered by a 2.4 GHz octa-core processor which supported by 64-bit Huawei Kirin 960 chipset clubbed with Mali G71 Octa-core GPU and 4GB / 6GB of RAM. It packs a 64GB / 128GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card.

On the camera front, the device flaunts a 20-megapixel Monochrome and 12-megapixel RGB dual camera system with Laser AF, PDAF, CAF, 4K video recording and dual-tone LED flash. It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and wide-angle lens to capture stunning self-portraits and quality video calling. The smartphone also comes equipped with a front fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button. There is AKM Hi-Fi audio chip for superior sound quality.

The handset runs on Android 7.0 Nougat -based on Huawei EMUI 5.1 out of the box. It packs a 3200mAh battery with fast charging. It supports hybrid SIM slot with dual standby, For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, USB Type-C options.

Honor 9 Price and Availability

The Huawei Honor 9 price for the basic version with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage at 2299 Yuan – approximately $338, whereas the 6GB RAM with 64GB and 128GB of storage variant costs 2699 Yuan – approximately $397 and 2999 Yuan – approximately $441 respectively. The handset is now available to pre-order and sale starts from 16 June in China.
