Homtom HT5 and Homtom HT6: A new Sub-brand from DOOGEE

There is a new trend to launch phones under Sub-brand to follow this a very well-known Chinese manufacturers named DOOGEE Mobiles also unveiled its special sub-brands lines of smartphones called Homtom. A main purpose to launch this sub-brand to provide a very affordable device with long life battery. And the first smartphones under this new brand will be a HT5 and HT6. 

As we have said, the main feature of these Homtom HT5 and Homtom HT6 DOOGEE mobile phones will be their long battery life. Thus, the HT5 model will receive a 4250mAh battery while the HT6 model comes with a 6250mAh battery.

DOOGEE Homtom HT5:

The Homtom HT5 is the newest version in this sub-brand, it has quite interesting and more stylish design. The front panel of the device is covered by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3, but with the curved edges. A rear panel of the Homtom HT5 can be available in two texture versions such as black wood and black apricot. A primary camera is located in the middle of the top of the rear panel and has a one LED flash.

For Homtom HT5 specifications, it features a 5 inch display with HD resolution of 720×1280 pixels, powered by 64-bit 1.0GHz quad-core MdiaTek MT6735P processor with 1GB of RAM; 16GB of inbuilt memory with Micro-SD card slot. For cameras, it will bear an 8-megapixels rear and 2-megapixels front-facing camera.

DOOGEE Homtom HT6:

The Homtom HT6 smartphone comes with a long battery life up to 7 days without a single charge under normal usage. While in critical condition when battery life around 5% the device can last up to 65 hours in standby mode. This device is ideal for those who travel a lot, or on long journeys without any power sources. And thanks to the “Pump Express” fast charging technology from MediaTek which can allow you to charge the Homtom HT6 battery up to 75% in just 30 minutes. It is also supports a the new two-way charging OTG port to use as a Powerbank.

Talking about the design, Homtom HT6 housing has a metal or plastic frame, might be a plastic frame with fake painted metal frame. While the back panel has a very interesting texture, primary camera is located on the top upper left corner. The front panel of the device is covered with a Gorilla Glass 3, and the lower part with three touch buttons has a quite unusual design.

As for the Homtom HT6 specifications, it is powered by the same processor as HT5, but increased the power of the RAM up to 2GB and 16GB of internal memory. The device also has same camera features as HT5, 8MP Sony sensor and 2MP OmniVision camera. The Homtom HT6 features a 5.5-inch display with HD 720p resolution.

Both the new DOOGEE products are runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and priced at $145.99 for the high-end Homtom HT6 and $129 for the Homtom HT5.
