Android 7.1 Nougat update for Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus Confirmed

The new Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus could soon receive a new Android 7.1.0 update before the early access of the Android O, according to Vodafone Australia.

Android 7.1 Nougat Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus

Thanks to the Vodafone Australia support forum, it has posted that Samsung has already submitted the Android 7.1.0 Nougat update for both flagship devices, and currently being tested at Vodafone. The table below that shows this is an update mainly related to the basic improvements in stability and bug fixes.

However, Vodafone Australia has not provided any specific release date for the update. But for sure Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus owners now know that they will receive at least a new version upgrade before switching to Android O, which will hardly be before the end of 2017.

Samsung Galaxy S8 is now available online from Amazon store at $573.99 / £550.49 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus price starting from $674.99 / £649.83.
