Shenzhen Jueying Technology has officially introduced the Viltrox AF 56mm f1.7 lens for Nikon Z and Fujifilm X APS-C cameras, and a version for Sony E should appear later.

The Viltrox 56mm F1.7 lens has a minimalist design, it remains lightweight and compact, offering effortless portability. Notably, beneath its streamlined exterior is a complex optical structure of 11 elements, with 7 serving specialized functions. The manufacturer promises fast, accurate, and quiet autofocus operation equipped with an STM drive.
The minimum focusing distance of 0.55 m is quite flexible, accommodating a range of compositions from headshots to full-body portraits. With a maximum magnification of 0.11x, while not macro territory, it allows for decent close-up details.
When it comes to portability, both versions of the lens maintain a compact and lightweight design — 171 g for the Fuji X and slightly heavier at 187 g for the Nikon Z. Despite the minimal weight difference, both models maintain a robust build quality, ensuring they can withstand the rigors of daily use.

Price and release date
Prices for the Viltrox AF 56mm F1.7 are $139. The lens is already available for order on the Bhphotovideo.com website. In addition to X and Z mounts, this lens should also be available for the Sony E mount.
