Venus Optics launches Laowa 11mm f4.5 FF RL lens for Nikon Z, Sony E, and Leica L Mounts: Pre-order Open

With this Laowa 11mm f4.5 FF RL lens, Venus Optics is expanding its FF RL series wide lens with rectilinear rendering that is ideal for interior, architecture, nature, and landscape applications. It is an extremely light and compact full-frame lens.

Venus Optics Laowa 11mm f4.5 FF RL

The 11mm f4.5 FF RL is currently (as of August 2020) the smallest and lightest extreme wide-angle lens with a 126° field of view for mirrorless cameras with full-frame sensors. It is only 6.3cm long and weighs only 254g.
In contrast to many other extreme wide-angle lenses with large spherical front lenses, this 11mm lens only has a small front lens and a 62mm filter thread. So 62mm screw-in filters and with a holder available as an accessory – 100mm square filters can be used.

The lens has a manual focus design and permits working with subjects as close as 7.5″ away and its built-in petal-shaped hood helps to block stray light from causing unwanted lens flare. The Laowa 11mm f4.5 FF RL lens is particularly suitable for landscape photos and indoor photos. Due to its small size and lightweight, it is also easy to take with you.
