Antelope Zen Q Synergy Core USB Audio Interface is available

The USB audio interface Antelope Zen Q Synergy Core is also available with USB-C. Technically, it is identical to the Thunderbolt model, but its price has been adjusted and reduced by $100.

The internal converters work at 24-bit/192 kHz and offer a headroom of 127 dB. The 64 -bit “AFC technology ” (Acoustically Focused Clocking) especially developed by the manufacturer is intended to reduce jitter and thus promises a precise sound image.

The desktop interface relies on quickly configurable routing and offers storable presets for all settings. A 1.77 inch IPS screen on the top provides an overview. The internal DSP enables the use of Synergy Core effects, which enable real-time monitoring and recording with a latency of less than 1 ms. 37 effects are included in the scope of delivery.

Two XLR/jack combo sockets and associated microphone preamps with 65 dB gain and phantom power are available as inputs. The inputs are equally suitable for the microphone, line, and Hi-Z signals. Zen Q Synergy Core also features two additional instrument inputs (jack) on the front panel.

Four outputs are located on the back, two of which serve as outputs for stereo monitoring, the other two are DC-coupled. This is useful if you want to send CV signals from Bitwig Studio or Ableton Live. S/PDIF is also available, and you can expand it to eight additional channels via ADATs. That is also the reason for the declaration as a 14×10 audio interface.

Two headphone outputs are a good thing, as is the built-in loopback function, which is particularly useful for live streams or podcast recordings. According to Antelope Audio, the routing can be easily set up and saved as a preset. In addition, you can save session files and load snapshots of all settings at any time.
