Kioxia unveils external SSD Exceria Plus, up to 2TB and up to 1050 MB/s

Kioxia has unveiled the Exceria Plus series of best SSD external storage. The Kioxia SSD series is represented by models with a volume of 500 GB, as well as 1 and 2 TB.

To connect the device, the new USB SSD uses the USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C interface with a maximum data transfer rate of 1050 MB/s and 1000 MB/s for sequential read and write, respectively. The kit also includes a USB Type-A cable. The new SSD external storage product is based on BiCS FLASH flash memory chips of Kioxia’s production.

The manufacturer claims compatibility of new Kioxia SSD storage with PCs based on Windows and macOS, tablets and smartphones based on iOS and Android, as well as with game consoles PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Series S.

The Portable SSD drives are equipped with an aluminum casing for efficient heat dissipation under heavy workloads and high shock resistance according to MIL-STD-810H 516.8 test standards.

The dimensions of the best SSD external portable drives Kioxia Exceria Plus are 105 × 45 × 14.7 mm and weigh 76 grams.
