Philips Evnia 25M2N5200P gaming monitor with 280Hz refresh rate and USB hub

MMD introduces a new monitor specifically designed for gamers, with features that make it suitable for professional e-sports as well. The latest addition to the Philips Evnia series is the Philips Evnia 25M2N5200P, featuring a 24.5-inch IPS panel with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and an impressive maximum refresh rate of 280Hz.

The monitor boasts a 1 ms fast gray change, ensuring smooth visuals during fast-paced gaming sessions. The data sheet highlights an 8-bit color depth, 400 cd/m² brightness, 110 percent sRGB coverage, a Delta-E value of less than 2, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. With the implementation of FreeSync Premium, gamers can enjoy a tear-free gaming experience. Additionally, the monitor offers the “MBR Sync” technology, which combines motion blur reduction with a mode against motion blur, similar to ELMB Sync or Aim Stabilizer Sync found in other monitors.

The Philips Evnia 25M2N5200P also features a black stabilizer to enhance visibility in dark areas of games, along with smart crosshair overlays. Although HDR10 support is advertised, the monitor’s limited peak brightness and lack of dimming zones prevent it from delivering a truly convincing HDR performance.

Turning our attention to connectivity options, the monitor includes two HDMI 2.0 inputs (supporting Full HD at a maximum of 240Hz) and a DisplayPort 1.4 (supporting Full HD at a maximum of 280Hz). It also provides four USB-A sockets (3.2 Gen 1) and a headphone output. Ergonomic features such as rotation, tilt, height adjustment, VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and a flicker-free backlight are also available.

The Philips Evnia 25M2N5200P, part of the Evnia series, weighs 3.3 kg without the stand and measures 557 x 331 x 64 mm (W x H x D). It is mercury-free and consumes 18 watts (SDR) or 26 watts (HDR). In terms of energy efficiency, the monitor is classified as EU energy efficiency class E to G.
