Microsoft Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL: 5-inch and 5.7-inch display, Snapdragon 400 Launched at MWC 2015

Microsoft has officially unveiled the two new low-cost smartphones called Lumia 640 and 640 XL at MWC 2015. Both are considered to be the next version of the Lumia 630 and Lumia 1320.

Based on the name, we will easily guessed that the Lumia 640 XL will be larger than Lumia 640, but generally they both have quite similar designs, the most noticeable difference is in the Lumia 640 XL camera design at back. The reason for this is because the Lumia 640 XL is coming with up to 13-megapixels rear camera, while Lumia 640 has a 8-megapixels rear camera – the camera is the main differences between the two devices considering the specifications.

On the hardware specifications, first to the Microsoft Lumia 640 smartphone is own IPS LCD screen size up to 5-inch, HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Although the device is cheap, but Microsoft also brought the advanced technology on Lumia 640 related Glance screen, protected Gorilla Glass 3 with high readability under sunlight. In addition, the phone uses Snapdragon 400 Soc, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory. Microsoft Lumia 640 is one of the few cheap smartphone is coming with a 8-megapixels rear camera.

Meanwhile the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL owns same Soc, RAM and memory compared to Lumia 640, the difference in the screen, camera and battery capacity. The Lumia 640 XL has a bigger screen size up to 5.7-inch, HD resolution, own 13-megapixels rear camera with LED flash and Carl Zeiss lens, wide angle 5-megapixels front camera which is also capable to video record at 1080p. Lumia 640 XL Battery capacity is 3.000mAh, while the Lumia 640 stop at 2.500mAh.

Both will be coming with a one year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 – price $69.99, Microsoft will sell the Lumia 640 Dual SIM 3G version only in $ 155, while LTE version with Dual and Single SIM option cost $ 178. Microsoft Lumia 640 XL Dual SIM 3G version only in $ 211, while LTE version with Dual and Single SIM option cost $ 245.

The Lumia 640 will be available in April there will Lumia 640 XL sold out within this month. Both will have a variety of colors such as cyan blue, orange, black and white.
