MSI MAG274QRF-QD E2 27-inch WQHD 2K Gaming Monitor with 180 Hz

MSI, a Taiwan-based manufacturer, has developed an improved version of the MSI 27″ Optix MAG274QRF QD gaming monitor released in 2021. This new edition, known as the MAG274QRF QD E2, retains the 27-inch size and features an IPS panel with a WQHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and Quantum Dot technology. Notably, it now offers a maximum refresh rate of 180 Hz, an upgrade from the previous 165 Hz.

The MSI MAG 274QRF QD E2 monitor is designed specifically for video gamers who prioritize fast image rendering. The monitor utilizes a Rapid IPS panel, providing a lightning-fast response time of just one millisecond (gray-to-gray). Furthermore, it supports adaptive sync, a feature that enables dynamic synchronization between the display and the graphics card, ensuring smooth visuals. Consequently, users experience seamless and immersive gaming sessions with minimal screen tearing or stuttering.

With a maximum brightness of 400 cd/m² and support for DisplayHDR 400, the monitor provides a good visual experience. However, due to its typical contrast ratio of 1,000:1, it may not accurately display content with a high contrast range. The 27-inch panel’s resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels enables high frame rates, even with high-quality playback. It can reproduce 94% of the Adobe RGB color space and 150% of the sRGB color space.

Connectivity options for the MAG274QRF QD E2 include DisplayPort 1.4a, two HDMI 2.0b ports, and a USB Type C port. The USB Type C port not only allows image signals but also provides up to 65 watts of power to connected devices. The monitor also includes a USB hub with two USB 2.0 ports and an integrated KVM switch, making it easy to operate multiple devices.
