MSI G274PFDE 27-inch gaming display with 180 Hz and 1 ms

MSI, a South Korean manufacturer, has recently unveiled its latest gaming monitor, the G274PFDE. Sporting a 27-inch IPS panel, it boasts a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and an impressive maximum refresh rate of 180 Hz.

The monitor also touts an 8-bit color depth (6-bit + FRC), a brightness of 250 cd/m², a swift 1 ms response time (gray to gray), and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Alongside these features, it promises exceptional color coverage: 99 percent sRGB, 99 percent Rec. 709, 96 percent DCI-P3, 90 percent Adobe RGB, and 72 percent Rec. 2020.

With a power consumption of 21 watts, the MSI G274PFDE falls under the EU energy efficiency class E (from G) and includes a three-year warranty.

To tackle tearing in gaming experiences, it integrates G-Sync-compatible Adaptive Sync. Additionally, a black stabilizer enhances visibility in darker gaming scenarios.

However, the HDR functionality might not deliver compelling outcomes due to its modest brightness values and the absence of dimming capabilities. As for connectivity, it currently offers two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.2, and a headphone output.

The monitor is versatile in its adjustments, offering rotation, tilt, height adjustment, pivot, and compatibility with VESA mounting (75 x 75 mm). Users will also appreciate the inclusion of a blue light filter and flicker-reduced backlighting.
