MSI G244F E2 24-inch gaming monitor with 180Hz and 1ms

MSI, a Taiwanese company, has introduced the G244F E2, a new edition of its gaming monitor. The “E2” designation signifies an upgraded version that now handles Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) at a maximum refresh rate of 180 Hz, a step up from its predecessor’s 170 Hz capacity.

This 23.8-inch IPS panel monitor boasts a 1000:1 contrast ratio, an 8-bit color depth, a brightness of 250 cd/m², and a rapid 1 ms response time (gray to gray).

To combat tearing in visuals, the Adaptive Sync feature is listed, akin to the initial G244F, likely in the form of FreeSync Premium. According to specifications, it achieves impressive color coverage: 122.88 percent sRGB, 94.4 percent Adobe RGB, and 92.05 percent DCI-P3.

Connectivity options encompass two HDMI 2.0b inputs, a DisplayPort 1.2a, and a headphone output, ensuring Full HD at 180 Hz across all graphic signal connections.

Regarding ergonomic adjustments, users will find tilt functionality, VESA mounting (75 x 75 mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-reduced backlight. Additionally, an OSD-controlled black stabilizer (Night Vision) brightens dark game areas.

However, an important note—overusing this function on nighttime maps in multiplayer games such as Hunt: Showdown might be considered cheating, providing an unfair advantage to players who maintain default gamma settings.
