Brightin Star 9mm F5.6 Lens for Full-frame cameras

Brightin Star Optics unveils its latest innovation for full-frame mirrorless cameras – the Brightin Star 9mm F5.6 ultra-wide-angle lens. Distinguished by its remarkable characteristics, including nearly zero distortion, a broad 132-degree viewing angle, and the incorporation of a built-in ND filter, this lens stands out in the market without producing a fish-eye effect.

Brightin Star 9mm F5.6

Weighing a mere 400 grams and boasting compact dimensions, the Brightin Star 9mm F5.6 lens is designed with travel photography in mind. The company proudly touts it as the world’s widest-angle lens for full-frame cameras.

Optically, the lens comprises 16 elements arranged in 11 groups, featuring two aspherical lenses. With a five-blade diaphragm, photographers can achieve a distinctive bokeh effect with a “star” pattern. The lens offers a minimum focusing distance of 20 cm.

A notable feature of the lens is the built-in neutral density filter – ND1000, capable of reducing light exposure by up to 10 stops. This feature proves valuable for capturing long-exposure shots on sunny days.

Constructed entirely from metal, the lens is available in popular mounts such as Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z, and L-mounts. The promotional materials emphasize the lens’s exceptional characteristic of virtually zero distortion, setting it apart from the competition.

One of its key competitors is the Laowa 9mm F5.6 lens released in 2020, which lacks the advantage of a built-in neutral density filter.

Price and availability

Priced at $479, the Brightin Star 9mm F5.6 lens is now available for purchase on the Amazon.com website, and it comes complete with a metal lens hood.
