ASRock, while not traditionally recognized for gaming monitors, has recently introduced the PG27QFT1B—a 27-inch monitor featuring a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It boasts an IPS panel that supports up to a 180 Hz refresh rate. The monitor offers a one-millisecond response time, with ASRock noting this is the MPRT (Motion Picture Response Time) rather than the gray-to-gray (GtG) response time, which is five milliseconds.

The new best 27″ 1440p gaming monitor should be able to reproduce 99 percent of the sRGB color space and 90 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. The typical brightness is given as 400 cd/m² and the typical contrast ratio as 1,000:1. A VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification is available, but this is unlikely to result in an extremely strong display of image content with an increased contrast range. FreeSync is supported.

Image signals must be delivered via two HDMI 2.0 and one DisplayPort 1.4, although the panel’s 180 Hz can only be used via DisplayPort. There are two speakers with an output of 2 watts and a headphone output.

Not only can you tilt the ASRock PG27QFT1B, but you can also rotate it and adjust its height by 100 millimeters. It also has additional features: a WiFi antenna is built in, which should result in better reception – since the monitor is not shielded by the table, unlike a desktop PC. For example, a USB hub or even just a USB Type C is completely missing.

Price and release date

You can purchase the ASRock PG27QFT1B 27-inch 180Hz gaming monitor for just $201.99 via Amazon.com.
