The latest business-oriented Acer Swift Edge OLED laptop features an ultra-slim magnesium-aluminum chassis with a 0.51-inch profile and a weight of 2.58 pounds, making them the 16 inch laptop with the screen World’s thinnest and lightest 4K OLEDs.
Additional security is provided by AMD’s Ryzen Pro 6000 processors, along with Microsoft’s Pluto chip, a fingerprint sensor, and a 1080p IR webcam.
Acer introduced professional features to its Swift line with the latest Edge AMD laptop models powered by AMD’s Ryzen Pro 6000 technology AMD’s Ryzen Pro 6000. According to Acer’s internal market analysis, the new Swift Edge 4K laptop models are the lightest 16-inch models in the world.
They feature an ultra-slim magnesium and aluminum chassis with a 12.95 mm (0.51 inch) profile and a weight of 1.17 kg (2.58 lbs). Plus, the Swift Edge delivers sublime visuals thanks to a 16:10 4K (3840 x 2400) OLED display with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and 500 nit HDR-capable peak brightness.
The Ryzen Pro 6000 family was chosen for its multi-level security features and processor options including the Ryzen 5 Pro 6650U and Ryzen 7 Pro 6850U along with non-Pro versions like the Ryzen 5 6600U and Ryzen 7 6800U. Maximum RAM capacity is 32GB LPDDR5, and NVMe SSD can go up to 1TB.
Given its slim profile, the Acer Sift Edge doesn’t come with GbE sockets, but it does feature fast Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth 5.2 support. Port selection includes two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a headphone jack. Note that the product page mentions USB4 instead of USB-C 3.2, which means the more expensive versions might have it. Battery capacity is not specified, but it should last 7.5 hours.
