Xiaomi Mi6X has been identified by previous rumors as one of the next mid-range flagships from a Chinese manufacturer. The smartphone has already obtained the TENAA certification, which has partially revealed the technical specifications and design. The XDA community completes the work, based the analysis of the specifications on the leaked firmware of the device.
XDA first confirms that the smartphone certified by TENAA is actually the Mi6X: there is a direct response examining the model number reported by the institution, ie M1804D2SC and the number of builds examined: IS_D2SC – the letter “C” indicates a device / build intended for the Chinese market.
Xiaomi Mi6X will be available in three configurations including 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The display has a 5.99-inch diagonal with FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It has a 2190mAh battery capacity, dimensions are 158.88 x 75.54 x 7.3 mm and weigh 166 grams. The headphone connector is defined as shared with the charging port, so probably the classic 3.5mm jack will not be present.
The smartphone is equipped with the Snapdragon 660 SoC clocked at 2.0GHz, rather than the standard 2.2 GHz. There is a microSD slot that will allow you to expand storage, the display is based on an LCD panel. There is no NFC, but IR transmitter is available.
For optics, there is a dual rear camera sensor: 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor with f / 1.8 aperture, associated with 20MP Sony IMX376 secondary sensor with f / 1.8 aperture. There is a 20MP front camera with Sony IMX376 sensor, f / 1.8 aperture and LED flash. The smartphone also supports 4K video recording at 30fps and portrait mode, but the Optical zoom is missing.
The software is Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9 user interface. At least the Chinese version will also include the AI digital assistant. Xiaomi has not yet confirmed the Xiaomi Mi6X release date, but recently released teaser by the company refers to a press event scheduled for April 25.
