Xiaomi Mi 5 has been officially launched in India. It is a flagship handset and was long awaited by Indian users, finally, their wait has come to an end with this smartphone. The Xiaomi Mi 5 price in India is set to little higher Rs. 24,999 for 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant and it’s exclusively available via Mi.com through flash sales in India starting from 6th April 2016. It is available in Black, White, Gold and Rose Gold color options.
There is also the Prime Edition of the Xiaomi Mi 5 with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB native storage along with the Pro Edition comes with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB internal memory had been launched in China.

The handset features a 5.15-inch LED IPS display with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels that’s offering a pixel density of 428ppi and screen with 3D Glass protection. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It packs in 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage.
The Mi 5 flaunts a 16-megapixel Sony IMX298 primary sensor on the back with 4-axis OIS, f/2.0 aperture, 6P lens and dual-tone LED flash. It can record Full HD 1080p videos and 120fps slow-motion videos. It comes with a 4.0-megapixel front-facing camera with 80 degree wide-angle lens and f/2.0 aperture to capture amazing selfies and video calling. The front camera can also shoot Full HD 1080p videos. The handset supports a fingerprint sensor that unlocks in 0.3 seconds and comes with Trustonic TEE chip-level security.
The Xiaomi Mi5 runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 7. It supports dual SIM feature with dual standby mode. It measures 144.55 x 69.2 x 7.25 mm and weighs only 129 grams, in spite of a 3000mAh battery under the hood that supports Quick Charge 3.0.
