Samsung has expanded its ViewFinity series with the S65TC, a 34-inch curved monitor featuring 1440p resolution and a 100Hz refresh rate. Alongside its specifications, the ViewFinity S65TC comes equipped with a pair of Thunderbolt 4 ports, adding to its array of features.
In South Korea, Samsung has unveiled its latest addition to the ViewFinity series. Although not as premium as the ViewFinity S95UC launched earlier, the Samsung S65TC (S34C650T) boasts several compelling features. Samsung has tailored this monitor around a 3440 x 1440 pixel VA display spanning 24 inches.
The technical specs reveal a 21:9 panel with a 1000R curvature and a refresh rate of 100 Hz, slightly lower than the ViewFinity S95UC. Its 5ms (GtG) response time, while not ideal for gaming, is supplemented by AMD FreeSync to mitigate image tearing.
With a contrast ratio of 3,000:1, a peak brightness of 350 nits, 115% sRGB color space coverage, and HDR10 support, the VA panel demonstrates impressive capabilities, although the monitor’s brightness might limit the usefulness of HDR. Connectivity-wise, it offers an array of ports, including Thunderbolt 4 connections.
Price and release date
Presently, the ViewFinity S65TC is available on the Bhphotovideo.com online store for $799.99. However, its global availability remains uncertain for now.
