Polk MagniFi Max AX SR Dolby Atmos Soundbar with subwoofer and surround speakers

Polk Audio has unveiled its new flagship soundbar with wireless subwoofer, the MagniFi Max AX SR. The new Polk soundbar also comes with two surround speakers and supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, among other things.

A few days ago, Polk Audio presented its new soundbar MagniFi Max AX SR. This is the manufacturer’s new flagship model and scores with multidimensional Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound, among other things.

The Polk audio soundbar itself features an array of eleven drivers with a dedicated center channel, upfiring speakers, and Polk’s patented Stereo Dimensional Array (SDA) technology. It offers movies, TV, and music modes for customized sound optimization for different types of use. In addition to a night mode for reduced bass, VoiceAdjust technology is also on board for improved speech intelligibility.

In addition to Dolby Atmos and DTS:X playback, the Polk MagniFi Max AX SR flagship soundbar supports WiFi streaming via Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, Spotify Connect, or any Works with Alexa-enabled music service, as well as Bluetooth, among others. It can also be linked to a multi-room music system.

In addition to the Polk soundbar, the device also includes a wirelessly connected 10-inch Polk audio subwoofer for bass reproduction and two Polk SR2 wireless surround speakers to expand the sound experience with real surround effects. The whole thing is operated either via the supplied remote control or most TV remote controls. An OLED display provides information about modes and co, three 4k-capable HDMI inputs, and one output is available for players and TV.

The new Polk MagniFi Max AX SR Soundbar can be purchased via Amazon.com at $899 and will be available from October 2022.

Last month, Sennheiser introduced the best soundbar for TV: Sennheiser Ambeo Soundbar Plus. It is a compact device that comes with nine drivers, an output power of 400 watts, support for Dolby Atmos, and spatial sound, and is priced at $1,499.95.
