A few days ago, Polk Audio presented its new soundbar MagniFi Max AX SR. This is the manufacturer’s new flagship model and scores with multidimensional Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound, among other things.
The Polk audio soundbar itself features an array of eleven drivers with a dedicated center channel, upfiring speakers, and Polk’s patented Stereo Dimensional Array (SDA) technology. It offers movies, TV, and music modes for customized sound optimization for different types of use. In addition to a night mode for reduced bass, VoiceAdjust technology is also on board for improved speech intelligibility.
In addition to Dolby Atmos and DTS:X playback, the Polk MagniFi Max AX SR flagship soundbar supports WiFi streaming via Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, Spotify Connect, or any Works with Alexa-enabled music service, as well as Bluetooth, among others. It can also be linked to a multi-room music system.
In addition to the Polk soundbar, the device also includes a wirelessly connected 10-inch Polk audio subwoofer for bass reproduction and two Polk SR2 wireless surround speakers to expand the sound experience with real surround effects. The whole thing is operated either via the supplied remote control or most TV remote controls. An OLED display provides information about modes and co, three 4k-capable HDMI inputs, and one output is available for players and TV.
