The maximum possible is 80 inches at a distance of 30.5 cm. However, the projector resolution is “only” Full HD (1080p), i.e. not 4K. But it supports HDR10. The maximum brightness of 400 lumens is also rather manageable. How good the picture of the Philips Screeneo U4 is, in the end, can only be shown by a real test.

The advantages of the new ultra short throw projector include AI-based autofocus, auto keystone with TOF technology, digital zoom, four projection modes, and 107 percent REC. 709 cover. According to Philips, the device should also be suitable for gaming with 30 ms latency and 60 Hz refresh rate.

For sound reproduction, Philips has installed a 2.1 sound system in the Screeneo U4, which measures 125.5 x 81.5 x 223.5 mm and weighs 1.4 kg. Up to 4K@60Hz can be played back via the two HDMI 2.1 connections (with CEC). A USB-A connection, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack are also available. In addition to the projector, remote control and an HDMI cable are also included in the scope of delivery.
