Sony starts pre-orders for Bravia Smart TVs 2023, including X95L Mini-LED

Sony has opened pre-orders for the new Sony Bravia XR TV 2023 models in the UK via Amazon. Sony gives customers the choice between a conventional Full Array LED for £1,599 and a mini-LED for £3,699.

Amazon.co.uk has announced that pre-orders for most of the new Sony Bravia XR TV 2023 models, with one important exception: the Sony Bravia A95L with QD-OLED panel is not yet available. Pre-orders can be placed via the Amazon website in the UK for the following models:

All new Sony XR TV 2023 models support a range of PlayStation 5 gaming features, including the ability to automatically adjust the picture mode depending on whether you’re playing a game or watching a movie. A gaming dashboard summarizes all relevant settings in one place, similar to gaming monitors, a crosshair can be displayed in the middle of the screen. Features like 4K 120 Hz with the variable frame rate (VRR) are missing from the cheapest models, but all TVs support Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and HDMI 2.1.

The new Sony Bravia XR TV 2023 models feature the updated Cognitive Processor XR with brand new XR Clear Image technology, which improves noise reduction and motion clarity, reduces blur, and brings action-packed scenes to life. The Cognitive Processor XR now supports even better backlight control for more individually dimmable zones, higher brightness, and minimizing haze around bright areas.

In addition, each model features Acoustic Center Sync, which synchronizes the TV’s audio system with the center channel of a compatible Sony soundbar, making it the center speaker for the ultimate immersive home listening experience. For even more immersive sound, the new models support 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology, which creates phantom speakers and optimizes the sound field, together with a Sony soundbar.

The newly introduced X95L TV uses the improved Acoustic Multi-Audio+ to optimize the sound so that it seems to spring directly from the picture. And finally, the A80L series are equipped with Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology, in which actuators cause the screen itself to vibrate, creating a sound that perfectly suits the action.

Samsung recently listed the pricing and availability of its New QLED 8K TV series: QN800C and QN900CQN90C 4K Neo QLED TV series; QN85C Neo Q LED TV 4K series; and S95C QD OLED Android TV models.
