The South Korean electronics giant Samsung now lists the pricing and availability of its New QLED 8K TV series: QN800C and QN900C. Samsung new QLED 8K devices will rely on a Neural Quantum processor and combine Quantum Dot technology with mini LEDs and 14-bit processing.
As is well known, the Samsung new QLED 8K TV models are available in 65, 75, and 85 inches, have a resolution of 7680 x 4320 pixels (8K) and are capable of 4K resolutions (3840 x 2160 pixels) with up to 120 Hz (QN800C) or 144 Hz (QN900C) refresh rates.
A Neural Quantum Processor 8K can upscale lower-resolution content to 8K via AI-based optimization if desired. For HDR fans, both HDR10 + Adaptive and HDR10+ Gaming are available. Thread and Zigbee-compatible smart home products can be managed centrally on the TVs and no longer require a separate SmartThings dongle.
Other features include the Tizen operating system (including voice assistants Alexa and Bixby), FreeSync Premium Pro anti-tearing technology, and an ALLM feature (“Auto Low Latency Mode”). The interfaces available include Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI 2.1, RJ-45, S/PDIF, USB-A, USB-C, and Wi-Fi 6E. As in the previous series, there should again be two DVB tuners for receiving digital TV or radio stations.
While the Samsung QN800C series comes with a 70-watt 4.2.2 sound system, owners of a Samsung QN900C series will be able to fall back on a 6.2.4 setup with a total output of 90 watts. Meanwhile, the support for Dolby Atmos is identical.
