Asustor has released the Lockerstor 2 and Lockerstor 4 network attached storage with two and four drive bays respectively. These Asustor NAS – AS6602T and AS6604T models are based on Intel Celeron CPU, 4GB RAM, and Dual M.2 NVMe SSD ports for fast caching.
The advantages of Lockerstor 2 and 4 Asus storage NAS hard drive replaceable without downtime, these include support for 10-bit 4K hardware decoding, HDMI 2.0a output, and Wake on LAN and Wake on WAN functions, allowing you to reduce power consumption to a minimum without accessing the NAS box.
These new Asustor NAS are powered by a quad-core Intel Celeron J4125 (Gemini Lake) processor, clocked at 2.0-2.7 GHz. It has 4GB of DDR4-2400 RAM at its disposal. Expandable up to 8GB. A common feature of the Asus storages is the presence of dual M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs for SSD Caching and two 2.5-Gigabit Ethernet ports with link aggregation. Each storage also includes three USB 3.2 Gen1 ports.
Asus Lockerstor 2 has a maximum storage capacity of 32TB, while Lockerstor 4 has a maximum storage capacity of 64TB. By connecting up to three AS6004U modules, you can add up to 192TB storage. The Lockerstor 2 and 4 offer extensive backup options and support virtualization. They are compatible with VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V virtual storage environments. iSCSI/IP-SAN and NFS support allow it to seamless integration with existing IT environments, providing an optimal and cost-effective storage solution.
