Meike has introduced a new manual lens – Meike 35mm F0.95. It is designed for mirrorless cameras with APS-C sensors: Canon EF-M, Canon EF, Fujifilm X, Micro Four Thirds, Nikon Z, and Sony E. The optics provide an equivalent focal length of 53mm on cameras with APS-C sensors.
The optical design of the new fast lens consists of 10 elements arranged in 7 groups. A diaphragm with 13 blades is used. The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 39 cm. When using lenses on full-frame cameras, you will need to use the appropriate shooting mode (crop mode) to avoid strong vignetting.
One of the standout features of the Meike 35mm f0.95 lens is its fast aperture. At f0.95, it is one of the fastest lenses currently on the market, allowing photographers to shoot in extremely low light conditions. This makes it an ideal lens for capturing candid shots in dimly lit environments, such as at parties or events.
Price and availability
Another notable aspect of the Meike 35mm f0.95 lens is its relatively affordable price. The Meike 35mm F0.95 manual focus lens is already available on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk for $259 / £269. This makes it an attractive option for photographers who want to experiment with low-light photography without breaking the bank.
