Fractal Design North: A Real Oak Front Mid-Tower PC Case for the Modern Gamer

With the North, Fractal Design is introducing a new mid tower PC case that particularly wraps gaming PCs in a stylish look. Instead of colorful RGB effects, walnut and oak wood are paired with mesh or glass. Up to eight fans and graphics cards up to 355 mm long can be accommodated in the gaming PC case.

Fractal Design has introduced a new mid tower case. With North, the well-known manufacturer wants to redefine the gaming PC and transform the gaming setup into a stylish addition to the living area with natural materials and sophisticated highlights.

Instead of colorful RGB effects and a futuristic design, Fractal Design focuses on elegance and wood at North. The front of the gaming PC case, which is available in four versions, is clad with vertical struts. The Chalk White version consists of light oak wood combined with silver elements, and the Charcoal Black version consists of darker walnut wood in combination with brass-colored design accents.

The side panels are either made of color-coordinated mesh in black or white to ensure better ventilation or made of glass to allow an uninterrupted view of the inside. The Fractal Design North housing developed for ATX / mATX / ITX motherboards offers space for graphics cards up to 355 mm in length or graphics cards up to 300 mm in length with a 360 mm front radiator. A total of seven slots are available for expansion cards. There are also two flexible storage brackets, each of which supports a 3.5-inch and a 2.5-inch drive at the same time.

There is space in the ATX mATX case for up to eight fans with a diameter of up to 140 mm. Two Aspect 140 mm PWM fans are already pre-installed. In addition, the manufacturer promises excellent airflow thanks to an open front and the optional mesh panels on the sides. Both the side panels, the front, and the top panel with a strap made of synthetic leather can be removed for unhindered access to the interior. For good accessibility, two USB 3.0, one USB Type-C, and separate headphone/mic connections are installed on the front.

The suggested retail price for the North Fractal PC case is $129.99 / £133.02. It is now available from Newegg.com and Amazon.co.uk retailers in four variants: North Charcoal Black, North Charcoal Black TG Light, North Chalk White, and North Chalk White TG Clear.
