LG Display Company unveils a new screen for 5.5 inches smartphone with a resolution of 2K. Most likely the most advanced LG smartphone this year will be equipped with this screen.
LG Displays has officially commercialized new screen for smart phones. Specifically, the new screen size will be 5.5 inches 2K resolutions up to 1440×2560 pixels with the new IPS panel for better display quality. As expected, the new screen will be fitted on the flagship model of LG in 2015. It is expected that LG G4 Phone will be officially introduced at the end of this April.
With the new LG Display Screens, the pixel density of the LG G4 was no different from the LG G3 debuted last year, however, the new IPS panels will provide much improved display quality. According to the manufacturer, the screen colors are more vivid, most precise due to the increase of 120% colors. Brightness are also increased by 30% without affecting power consumption, contrast ratio up to 50% higher than regular Quad HD LCD panel. In addition, LG also equipped with enhanced In-Cell Touch technology (AIT) to enhance the sensitivity of the new touch screen.
Additional the color range of this display, LG says it has improved the accuracy in reproducing red and green by combining blue LED chips with red and green phosphor materials. Meanwhile, in the conventional LED screen backlight, it also uses a blue LED chip, but in combination with a yellow phosphor. About AIT, this technology will be integrated touch sensor layer directly in the LCD instead set up on the LCD layer sensor as normal. This helps reduce the thinness of the screen, while the touch sensitivity is increased. Finally, this screen is manufactured with liquid crystal technology arranged by UV rays. According to LG, the crystal is located in uniform should reduce light leakage, thereby increasing the contrast and help to create more brilliant colors and sharper images.
The LG shows the company is a pioneer in upgrading and improving the technical details on the lines of high-end smartphones.
