Lenovo debuts the IdeaPad Pro 5i Gen 9, marking one of the initial Intel Evo laptops driven by the Meteor Lake platform. This new release couples state-of-the-art processors with an 84 Wh battery and a 120 Hz rapid OLED display, available in either 14 or 16 inches.

The ninth-gen IdeaPad Pro 5i strives to fuse robust performance with extended battery life within a compact design. At the helm of the top-tier model lies the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H, optionally paired with a dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 laptop GPU, achieving a TGP of up to 115 watts, particularly in the 16-inch variant.

The lighter 1.46-kilogram model houses a 14-inch 120 Hz speedy display in a 16:10 aspect ratio, boasting a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels and a luminance of 400 nits. Buyers can opt between an OLED or an IPS panel. The choice becomes a tad more intricate for the 1.95-kilogram 16-inch model. The 120 Hz OLED panel offers a resolution of only 2,048 x 1,280 pixels, while the IPS panel features 2,560 x 1,600 pixels.

Irrespective of size, Lenovo outfits these models with an 84 Wh battery juiced up via USB-C. They pack up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a maximum 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, along with 2 x 2-watt stereo speakers, an infrared camera for facial recognition Windows login, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2. Alongside two USB-A and two USB-C ports, including Thunderbolt 4 support, the IdeaPad Pro 5i Gen 9 also sports HDMI 2.1 and an SD card reader.

Acer has also unveiled the Swift Go 14, a budget-friendly slim, and lightweight laptop boasting Intel Core Ultra 7 processors, an Intel Arc graphics solution, and AI support for users, available for $849.99.
