HP today introduced the new Spectre 13, the world’s thinnest laptop, only 10.4mm thin aluminum and carbon fiber body inspired from women’s Clutch design. For comparison, HP Spectre 13 even thinner than the Apple Macbook 12 was launched last year. Commensurate with the ultra-thin body, new HP Spectre 2016 edition also weighs only 1.11kg.
If you have sharp-eyed will see the new HP logo on the newly launched Spectre 13 laptop. New HP logo is very unique, that is the logo that HP will formally apply for the high-end laptop line from now on-wards. The new logo seems very luxurious, four-digit line, but HP demonstrated as a subtle way. In essence, this is the result of collaboration between HP and design firm Moving Brands had been working for HP since 2008.
Moving Brands has designed this new logo since 2011 and now after years of research, perhaps HP has decided to choose this new logo. As a reminder that the HP Enterprise new Logo will appear only on high-end laptops from HP, the regular business line will continue to use old familiar HP logo.
Now back to latest HP Spectre 13 laptop, carbon fiber and aluminum craftsmanship along with two-tone finish add more beauty in it.
To make ultra thin laptop, HP has divided into two independent parts, that incorporates a hybrid battery, thereby providing a battery life of up to 9.5 hours. Though ultra-thin and light-weight body, it also comes with a powerful 6th Generation Intel Core i5 or i7 Processor, uses 512GB PCIe-SSD instead of SATA for greater bandwidth and 8GB RAM. It uses USB Type-C ports to ensure the thickness of the device.
HP Spectre 13 combined with B & O dual stereo speakers and Full-HD IPS screen finished with a durable and scratch resistant edge-to-edge Corning Gorilla Glass. Besides the regular version, HP also makes special edition of the Spectre uses 18K Gold and Swarovski Crystals.
HP Spectre 13 price is around $1,169 for the lowest configuration, will start ordering on 25 April 2016.
