Google has officially introduced the next generation of laptop model called Chromebook Pixel 2. Just after 3 days when Apple introduced the New MacBook 12, Google also provides USB type-C connectivity on Chromebook Pixel 2 and expect it to be popular on devices running Android in the future.
The new Chromebook Pixel 2 designs remain the same, only one change that adds USB type-C ports, touchscreen size is 12.85-inch with a resolution of 2560 x 1700 pixel and pixel density of 239 ppi. Configuring be upgraded to 5th generation Core i5 or i7 processor and integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500.
The new Chromebook Pixel 2 has a spacious design with a total thickness of 15.3mm (0,9mm thinner than the previous generation), Chromebook Pixel 2 offers two USB type-C ports on each side provides data transfer speed up to 5Gbps, support 4K video signal output to an external monitor with HDMI or DisplayPort adapter. USB Type-C port also used to recharge the laptop from the power of 60 Watt. You can also connect standard USB 3.0, SD card slot and 3.5mm headphone.
The Chromebook Pixel 2 hardware is upgraded with 5th generation Intel Core processor. Google launched the standard version with an Intel Core i5, 2.2 GHz, 8GB RAM, 32GB hard drive for $ 1,000, while the LT version of Chromebook Pixel 2 cost $ 1,300 to use Core i7 processor, 2.4 GHz, 16GB RAM and a 64GB hard drive. Both Google Chrome Books use Intel HD Graphics 5500, higher than the new MacBook 12 owned Intel HD Graphics 5300.
For connectivity, the Chromebook Pixel 2 supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac dual-band, Bluetooth 4.0, but no choice for LTE connectivity. The battery for maximum usage time up to 12 hours, fast charging technology enables the laptop to be used up to 2 hours, after only 15 minutes of charging.
