DZOFilm Tango 18-90mm T2.9 and 65-280mm T2.9-4 cine lenses announced

DZOFilm has unveiled its latest offerings in the form of cinema zoom lenses, namely the DZOFilm Tango 18-90mm T2.9 and 65-280mm T2.9-4, designed explicitly for cameras featuring Super35 format sensors. These lenses exhibit exceptional aperture performance, and a broad focal length range, and are compatible with an additional servo drive for enhanced versatility.

The prototypes of these two lenses made their debut appearances at this year’s NAB and CineGear expos. Given their substantial physical dimensions, these lenses are most ideally suited for use in conjunction with larger cinema cameras. Yet, even with just these two lenses at their disposal, cinematographers can effectively span a wide array of focal lengths.

The newly introduced DZOFilm Tango cinema lenses have been meticulously crafted with low-light shooting scenarios in mind. Notably, all the focus rings, zoom rings and aperture ring markings are adorned with luminescent paint, a feature that greatly enhances usability in dimly lit environments. Both of DZOFilm’s latest lens offerings boast an extensive 270-degree focus ring rotation, facilitating precise and nuanced focus adjustments.
