Philips 273S1 office monitor with USB-C dock station

The Philips S-Line 243S1 docking station display for offices that was released at the beginning of last year will have a larger sister model with otherwise very similar properties. The Philips 273S1 relies on a 27-inch IPS panel with Full HD resolution (1920×1080 pixels) at 75 Hz and covers 102 percent of the sRGB color space.

Other key data include a color depth of 8 bits (6 bits + FRC), a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a brightness of 300 cd/m², and a response time of 4 ms (grey to gray). There is no mention of sync technology to prevent tearing, but there are two internal 2-watt speakers.

Interfaces are DisplayPort 1.2 (input and output), HDMI 1.4, a USB 3.2 hub (Gen 1), an RJ-45 socket, a headphone output, and a USB C dock Display port alternate mode and 65-watt power supply Disposal.

So while a USB-C docking station with daisy chaining is at the start on the connection side, the ergonomic functions of the new docking station display don’t have to hide either: rotation, tilt, height adjustment, pivot, VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering and flicker-free background lighting leave nothing to be desired.

The mercury-free 27-inch model with its 21 watts is classified in the EU energy efficiency class E (from G), weighs 5.03 kg without the stand, and measures 613 x 366 x 54 mm (W x H x D).
