At the opening of CES 2017, ASUS has so much to present starting with a new portable ASUSPro B9440 laptop, designed for business users, the VivoPC X compact desktop PC, and refreshed many of its laptops, and 2-in-1 PCs with the latest Intel Kaby Lake processors.
Starting with the all new ASUSPro B9440 laptop, defined the business notebook with the 14-inch display will also claim the world’s lightest business notebook currently (weight around 1043 grams). It is also very compact and portable, thanks to extremely thin frames, which make it even stronger competitor against the new Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch.
ASUS says a thin screen bezel and lightweight magnesium alloy, which allows the device to conform to the standards MIL-STD 810G, and making it more portable. Coming to ASUSPro B9440 specifications, powered by 7th-Generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7 Kaby Lake processors, the RAM can be up to 16GB, while the SSD up to 512GB. The display has Full HD resolution, and the battery life declared by the manufacturer is up to 10 hours. For ports, there are USB 3.0 Type-A and a USB Type-C, fingerprint scanner for Windows Hello.
The ASUSPro B9440 price starting from $999 and it will be available from May 2017 in US.
The Asus VivoPC X, on the other hand, is a compact Desktop PC which is more similar to any gaming console. And more and more gamers like to own this type of PCs for gaming in recent times. Most of brands arrive with the compact desktop PCs that also packs powerful GPU, high-end processors that reduce temperatures and consume less power, and also perfectly fits on small desks.
Asus VivoPC X is a product that placed in the same segment of the market and such competitors of recently announced MSI Trident. The processor is seventh-generation Intel Core i5 (Kaby Lake) coupled with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. It’s backed by the Nvidia GTX 1060 graphics card based on the NVIDIA Pascal architecture of the current catalog means it packs hardware that makes it a VR ready Desktop PC. (Of course, the performance is not comparable to the GeForce GTX 1070 and 1080).
Other features include standard 4 x USB 3.1 ports, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 2 x HDMI ports and 1 x DisplayPort that supports compatible displays with NVIDIA G-Sync technology. To keep the compact PC cool, Asus has introduced side vents for proper air circulation and a special pipe to keep the heat away from the new processor.
Asus VivoPC X price is set to $799 for the US market, and it will be made available by March of this year.
Additionally, Asus has also refreshed most of its product lineup to the new Kaby Lake processors, including new ZenBook laptops like Asus ZenBook UX510 with 15.6-inch 4K display, priced at $999. The Asus Zenbook UX330 with 13.3-inch display, priced starting at $749, the Zenbook UX310 is priced at $699, and ZenBook Flip UX360UA is priced at $899; Asus Transformer Pro 2-in-1 like Asus Transformer Pro T304 is priced at $999.
Asus has also updated a new variants of the Zen AiO all-in-one desktops including the Asus Zen AiO Pro Z240IE is priced starting at $1,799, Zen AiO ZN270IE and the Zen AiO ZN241IC desktops are priced at $999; and the Asus GT51CH gaming desktop. All the products will be available in May this year.
