CES 2017: Dell Alienware 13 R3 2017, 15 R3 2017 and 17 R4 2017 with Kaby Lake, GTX 1050

After the announcement of the Dell Inspiron 7000 gaming laptops, Dell also unveiled the all new Alienware gaming laptops ahead of the CES 2017. Including the Dell Alienware 13 R3 2017, Dell Alienware 15 R3 2017 and Dell Alienware 17 R4 2017 models with anodized aluminium, magnesium alloy, steel, and copper body make them stronger and lightweight. Coming to pricing, the Dell Alienware 13 R3 2017 has been priced starting at $999.99 and the Dell Alienware 15 R3 2017 has been priced starting $1,199.99, while the high-end Dell Alienware 17 R4 2017 laptop has been priced starting $1,349.99. All three Alienware series laptops will be available from 5th January, 2017 in the US.

All three Alienware laptops feature a brand new speaker design with smart-amps, Alienware 13 and Alienware 15 comes with a stereo speaker configuration, while the Alienware 17 adds a sub-woofer. All three sports Killer Ethernet, Wi-Fi, new seventh generation Intel Core Kaby Lake processors, running 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 10 Pro, and available in Epic Silver color only.  Dell Alienware 15 R3 2017

Starting with the high-end Dell Alienware 17 R4 2017 features a 17.3-inch full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution IPS display with Tobii IR Eye-tracking, full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution 120Hz TN+WVA Nvidia G-Sync display with Tobii IR Eye-tracking, and UHD (3840×2160 pixels) resolution IPS display with Tobii IR Eye-tracking variants. For processors, we have the choice of a quad-core Intel Core i7-7700HQ or Intel Core i7-7820HK processors, RAM up to 32GB 2400MHz DDR4. The base variant include Intel HD Graphics 630 along with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 2GB GDDR5 RAM, and can be expanded up to a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 with 8GB GDDR5X video RAM.

For storage, the base variant comes with a 180GB M.2 SATA SSD, up to a 1TB PCIe SSD (boot) + 1TB PCIe SSD (storage) + 1TB 7200RPM SATA HDD. Connectivity including Gigabit Ethernet, 2 x USB 3.0 Type-A, 1 x USB 3.0 Type-C, 1 x Thunderbolt 3.0, 1 x Alienware Graphics Amplifier, 1 x HDMI, 1 x Mini-DisplayPort 1.2, 1 x audio out port, 1 x headphone port, and a 68Whr battery with an 180W adapter, or a 99Whr battery with a 240W or 330W adapter. It measures 424 x 332 x 29.9 mm and weighs around 4.42kg.

Coming to the Dell Alienware 15 R3 2017 features a 15.6-inch full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution IPS display, full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution 60Hz IPS display with Nvidia G-Sync, full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution 120Hz TN+WVA Nvidia G-Sync display, and UHD (3840×2160 pixels) resolution IGZO IPS display. For processors, an Intel Core i5-7300HQ, Intel Core i7-7700HQ, or Intel Core i7-7820HK processor, RAM capacity up to 32GB 2400MHz DDR4, Intel HD Graphics 630 with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 2GB GDDR5 RAM, and expanded up to a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 with 8GB GDDR5 RAM. The Dell Alienware 13 R3 2017, on the other hand, comes with a 13.3-inch HD (1366×768 pixels) resolution TN display, full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution IPS display, and QHD (2560×1440 pixels) resolution OLED display. For processors, including an Intel Core i5-7300HQ or Intel Core i7-7700HQ, RAM up to 32GB 2400MHz DDR4, Intel HD Graphics 630 along with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 with 2GB GDDR5 RAM, and expanded up to GeForce GTX 1060 with 6GB GDDR5 RAM.

For storage, it comes with a 180GB M.2 SATA SSD, expanded up to 1TB PCIe SSD (boot) + 1TB PCIe SSD.
