Viltrox has released an updated 4th generation EF-E5 Canon EF adapter for attaching Canon EF / EF-S lenses to Sony E-mount cameras while retaining PDAF / CDAF autofocus and EXIF recording.
Another feature of the Canon EF adapter is the liquid crystal display on the body, which displays the focal lengths and aperture of the Canon lens.
The adapter supports full electronic communication for the transfer of EXIF data, phase-detection, and contrast-detection autofocus, and Canon lens image stabilization. An integrated switch on the barrel of the adapter allows autofocus mode to be selected without having to navigate a camera menu.
The removable tripod foot is tapped with a 1/4″-20 accessory thread, providing for direct attachment to a tripod or quick release plate. The lens adapter weighs 158 g and measures 83 x 72 x 36.5 mm. There is a Micro USB port on the case for firmware updates.

The Viltrox EF-E5 Canon EF-mount lens adapter is now available for $186 via the Bhphotovideo.com and Amazon.com websites.
