MSI Katana 15 2023 offers up to 13th Gen Intel CPUs and GeForce RTX 40 GPUs

MSI updated its best budget 144hz laptop named the Katana 15 at CES 2023. This new gaming laptop with 144hz display is equipped with the latest hardware up to the Intel Core i7-13620H and GeForce RTX 4060 laptop GPU.

MSI equips its best budget 144hz laptop with the new Intel processor of the 13th generation up to the Core i7-13620H and the current NVIDIA GPU GeForce RTX 4070 laptop with 8 GB GDDR6 RAM. Depending on the configuration, MSI combines up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and offers space for two NVMe M.2 SSDs with PCIe Gen4 x4.

Alternatively, the Raptor Lake CPUs are also available with the older GPUs GeForce RTX 3050 laptop and GeForce RTX 2050 laptop as well as with Intel 12th Gen CPUs up to the i7-12650H and graphics solutions up to the GeForce RTX 4070 laptop.

The display in the MSI Katana 15 has a Full HD resolution but is a bit smaller at 15.6 inches. The refresh rate is also 144 Hz here. The other features of the best budget 144hz laptop include a MUX switch. Gamers can switch between hybrid graphics mode and discrete graphics mode via the integrated MSI Center.

There is also an RGB keyboard, stereo speakers, one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C with DisplayPort, one HDMI (8K@60Hz / 4K@120Hz), and various other ports. In addition to Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, the new Katana 15 gaming notebook from MSI has an HD camera and a 53.5 Wh battery.
