Bang & Olufsen has introduced a new Bluetooth waterproof speaker that impresses not only with its stylish aluminum housing and a running time of 27 hours but above all with the fact that the Beosound Explore is completely waterproof.
Specifically, the Bang Olufsen audio speaks of an IP67 certification, which means that the waterproof speaker can even withstand a dip in cold water, but it is not suitable for continuous use underwater. The waterproof Bluetooth speakers can be easily attached to a backpack using a carabiner. On the top there is a waterproof control panel, which enables the volume and playback to be controlled; the large spacing between the buttons should also make it easy to use with gloves.
The manufacturer promises that the 2400 mAh battery can provide a runtime of 27 hours at “normal volume”, a full charge via USB-C takes two hours, the remaining charge can be seen in the app. The housing of the new Bang and Olufsen speaker is partly made of aluminum and partly of plastic, and the overall size of the 8.1 x 8.1 x 12.4-centimeter, and weighs 631 grams.
The connection to the smartphone is via Bluetooth 5.2, but B&O only supports the SBC codec. Two 1.8-inch full-range drivers, each with a 30-watt class D amplifier, are responsible for the best possible sound. The best waterproof Bluetooth speaker should be able to reproduce a frequency range from 56 Hz to 22.7 kHz with a volume of up to 91 dB and a bass potential of 59 dB (SPL in each case).

The Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore Bluetooth waterproof speaker is now available on the Amazon.com website for a recommended retail price of $199 in Black Anthracite, and Gray Mist colors.
