BenQ Zowie XL2746K Esports Monitor with 240 Hz refresh rate

The Taiwanese manufacturer BenQ lists the new Zowie XL2746K 27 inch gaming monitor, which is primarily aimed at Esports. The BenQ Zowie monitor uses a 27- inch TN panel with full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and achieves a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz.

Strong hardware and/or graphics details must be downgraded to constantly fire up such high frame rates. Meanwhile, up to 120 Hz is possible on the new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. The 8.8 kg BenQ Zowie XL2746K has a power requirement of fewer than 40 watts.

Further features of the 240 Hz monitor gaming device are a 1000: 1 contrast ratio and 320 cd/m² typical brightness. No precise information is given about the response time, but typical for TN systems it should be around 1 ms (gray to gray). VRR (“Variable Refresh Rate”) is represented as an anti-tearing measure. Alternatively, a mode against motion blur (DyAc +) can be used. A black stabilizer can also be activated via OSD.

Three HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.2, a USB service port, and a headphone output make up the choice of interfaces. With rotation, inclination, height adjustment, pivot, VESA mounting (100 x 100 mm), blue light filter, and flicker-free background lighting, no ergonomic wishes remain unfulfilled. Of course, flicker-free only applies if DyAc + is switched off.
