Asus ROG Phone 2 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version costs CNY 3,499 – approximately $508 and the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage version costs CNY 5,999 – approximately $872. Both these will be available for order from today till July 31 and go on sale in August. There is a supreme version that will be available in Q4 for CNY 7,999 – approximately $1162, and the esports Armor version with all the accessories costs CNY 12,999 – approximately $1,889.

Asus has officially launched the ROG Phone 2 gaming smartphone aimed at the gamers. This device not only possesses a tremendous configuration with 120hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, 12GB RAM, 6000mAh battery but also optimized for hardware and software for the game, combined with a lot of extra events for gamers to customize the experience at will.

Based on the first version, ROG Phone 2 continues to perfect the gaming experience on smartphones through a combination of powerful configuration, collaboration with manufacturers to optimize performance for simultaneous games. Also gives gamers lots of interesting accessories. The design of ROG Phone 2 remains unchanged from the first version, with a glass back and uses gamer-style “transformer” animation.

The most interesting thing is probably the configuration part when ROG Phone 2 is the first smartphone equipped with Snapdragon 855 Plus processor. This is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 855, with CPU and GPU clock speeds being pushed up to improve processing performance compared to current top smartphones. Combined with 12GB RAM, ROG Phone 2 can battle all types of mobile games today. Asus offers an internal memory option of 128GB to 512GB, using high-speed memory chip to reduce game loading time.

GameCool II heat sink system of ROG Phone 2 uses steam chamber technology, ensuring Snapdragon 855 Plus chip is not downgraded even when playing games for a long time. Gamers can add AeroCool II fan accessories to reduce the temperature by 5 degrees Celsius.

Equally impressive is a 6000mAh battery, which significantly increases gaming time compared to regular smartphones. ASUS Hyper Charge fast charging technology allows only 58 minutes to fully charge the battery with the 30W charger attached to the device.

ROG Phone 2 is equipped with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display (2340×1080) resolution, 120Hz scanning number and 240 Hz sampling rate. This is a 10-bit screen with high-quality HDR content performance, calibrated with DeltaE <1 color accuracy (DeltaE <2 is almost indistinguishable from the naked eye to reality). The Android interface is optimized for use both vertically and horizontally. A fingerprint sensor is also brought down under the screen.

In addition to improving the gaming experience, the Asus ROG Phone 2 is also equipped with dual speakers with DTS technology: X Ultra, 4 antennas, 4 microphones, 2 vibrators; In general, it is double that of regular smartphones. It has the same camera features as the ZenPhone 6, with 48 MP + 13 MP dual camera and 24 MP front camera.

Especially about the accessories, ASUS gives gamers a lot of options, from the back cover, the handle, the wireless dock for gamers to customize the experience at their disposal.
