AstrHori has finally unveiled its new full-frame wide-angle lens: the AstrHori 12mm F2.8 fisheye lens. With a 185° Ultra-wide Angle of View, this lens is specially designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras, producing unique perspectives and creative distortions.
Its large viewing angle is well-suited for travel, landscapes, panoramas, nighttime scenes, and more. The bright f/2.8 aperture is designed to suit work in a variety of lighting conditions and also for controlling depth of field and isolating subject matter.
The optical system of the AstrHori 12mm F2.8 lens consists of 11 elements in 8 groups. A 9-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh quality. It features an on-body aperture ring that has a close focusing distance of 20cm and weighs around 757.5 grams.
The aperture ring is stepped with the right amount of resistance, marking full stops from F/2.8 to F/16. The all-metal lens barrel features an engraved depth of field and focuses scales. The front lens has a multi-layer coating, to suppress flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.
