Lenovo Tab P12 Android 13 tablet with MediaTek Density 7050

Lenovo’s Tab P12 marks an early arrival sporting MediaTek’s Dimensity 7050, a 6nm chipset paired with 8 GB of RAM and a hefty 10,200 mAh battery. Adding to its arsenal, this new Android 13 Lenovo tablet boasts an active stylus and a detachable keyboard.

Android 13 Lenovo Tab P12 Tablet

Introduced alongside the fresh Tab M10 5G, the Tab P12 shares a launch but stands distinct. Lenovo’s announcement highlights the Tab P12’s core foundation in the MediaTek Dimensity 7050, a chipset wielding two ARM Cortex-A78 cores and an additional six Cortex-A55 cores clocking in at 2.6 GHz and 2.0 GHz, respectively.

This newly launched chipset harmonizes with 4 or 8 GB of RAM and offers expandable storage of either 128 or 256 GB. Lenovo claims the 10,200 mAh battery fuels up to 10 hours of video playback, slightly less than the Tab M10 5G.

Though equipped with a USB 2.0 Type-C port sans video output, the Android 13 Lenovo tablet, measuring 293.3 x 190.7 x 6.9 mm and weighing 615 g, embraces Wi-Fi 6 compatibility and guarantees four years of security patches.

Regrettably, Lenovo commits to providing only two OS updates, commencing with Android 13. The tablet sports a 12.7-inch LCD boasting a 2944 x 1840 pixel resolution at a 60 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it houses four JBL-branded speakers, an 8 MP rear camera, and a 13 MP front camera.

Lenovo Tab P12 price and release date

Meanwhile, Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+, featuring an IP68-certified waterproof casing, an included S Pen, a rapid 90 Hz IPS panel, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle front camera, an 8 MP primary camera, and Android 13 supported by five years of security patches. The base model is available at $449 / £449.
