Dell Alienware AW2524H 500Hz Gaming Monitor with HDR, 1ms, and AlienFX RGB

As part of its major CES 2023 product presentation, Dell introduced an exciting new gaming monitor from its Alienware gaming division today. The Alienware AW2524H is the manufacturer’s first gaming monitor with 500Hz refresh rate.

Alienware AW2524H Gaming Monitor with 500Hz

The regular update frequency of the Alienware AW2524H is 480 Hz. However, this can be overclocked up to 500 Hz, making the gaming monitor one of the fastest in the world. However, this performance is only possible via the display port, while the two HDMI connections stop at 240 Hz. There are also two USB 3.2 Gen 1.

The Fast IPS panel has a response time of 0.5 to 1 ms GtG, making it ideal for responsive and action-packed gaming. Gamers can also look forward to Nvidia G-Sync against tearing and Nvidia Reflex Latency Analyzer to optimize latency across the entire system.

While the refresh rate is extremely high, the 24.5-inch diagonal is rather manageable. The resolution is Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) with a pixel density of 90 PPI. According to the manufacturer, the image brightness is a maximum of 400 cd/m², which gives the monitor a VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. The panel covers 99 percent of the sRGB color space. The equipment is rounded off by ComfortView Plus and AlienFX RGB effects.

We recently also compared and reviewed the Dell Alienware AW3423DWF and Alienware AW3423DW gaming monitors with 34-inch QD-OLED displays. The Alienware AW3423DWF is a cheaper alternative to the Alienware AW3423DW with a reduced refresh rate, a revised chassis, and no support for NVIDIA G-SYNC Ultimate. In contrast, the Dell AW3423DWF supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and operates at up to 165Hz, not 175Hz like the Alienware AW3423DW.
