Acer Predator BiFrost RX 7600 Price and Release Date

Acer ventures into the realm of AMD-based graphics cards with the introduction of the Predator BiFrost RX 7600. This stylish offering boasts a steam chamber and a full metal fan, but RX 7600 price starts from $289.99 places it higher than some other Radeon RX 7600 options available in the market.

Recently, Acer unveiled two variants of AMD’s modern mid-range graphics card, namely the BiFrost RX 7600 and the BiFrost Radeon RX 7600 OC. The key difference between these two lies in their maximum clock frequencies. While the cheaper model achieves a game clock of 2,250 MHz and boost clock rates of up to 2,655 MHz, the OC version boasts slightly higher performance with game clock speeds of 2,320 MHz and boost clock speeds of up to 2,725 MHz, representing a 3 percent increase.

Acer’s substantial price point promises an advanced cooling system, combining a steam chamber on the GPU with two fans of different sizes: a “3D full metal fan” and a “Frostblade 2.0” fan with 92-millimeter long, curved slats. Given that even the OC version consumes a maximum of 180 watts under load, the cooling system’s impact on the graphics card’s performance seems minimal.

However, this new Acer graphics card with an AMD GPU is considerably more expensive than expected. Although Acer didn’t initially confirm the list price, Newegg has revealed that the Predator BiFrost RX 7600 price is $339.99 for the OC version and $289.99 for the standard model. This makes it one of the most costly Radeon RX 7600 options on the market. By comparison, the Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 7600 costs approximately $270, while for $400, users can acquire the much more powerful Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti.

In other news, the recently unveiled Acer Predator Triton 17 X notebook, designed for gamers and creators, is now available for purchase at various online stores with up to $300 discount. Boasting an Intel Core i9-13900HX processor, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, up to 64 GB of RAM, and a massive 4 TB of storage space, all housed in a sleek sandblasted CNC-milled unibody metal chassis.
